ECG+ seamlessly integrates with Apple Health, enhancing the capabilities of your Apple Watch ECG. It offers a comprehensive analysis of your ECG data, including calculations of intervals such as QT/QTc, PR, QRS, and heart rate variability (HRV). These measurements are crucial in assessing cardiac health and detecting life-threatening arrhythmias.
HRV, an indicator of autonomic nervous system health, measures the variation in time between successive heartbeats. QT interval, on the other hand, determines the time it takes for the heart to recharge between beats. These metrics play a vital role in evaluating physical fitness and overall well-being.
Within the ECG+ app, you have access to a range of features to optimize your utilization of Apple Watch ECG recordings:
- HRV Trends: Track changes in your health levels through HRV trends. An upward trend signifies improved physical fitness, while a downward trend suggests the need for increased attention to overall health. Additionally, monitor your QT intervals over time and receive automated alerts for prolonged QT intervals, indicating the necessity for healthcare consultation.
- Measure QT and calculate QTc: The ECG+ app automatically detects and measures QT intervals on your behalf. Furthermore, you can select from six different QTc formulas for accurate QTc calculations.
- Long QTc warning: Receive warnings within the app if your calculated QTc exceeds the normal range. The normal range is established based on gender.
- ECG report: Gain deeper insights into your heart's functioning with the ECG+ app's detailed report. It offers features such as R-R markings, HRV Poincaré plots, six intervals, and heartbeat signatures. This comprehensive report presents a clearer picture of your cardiovascular performance compared to the default Apple Health report.
